Kayaking . . .  from city Rezina down to Vadul-lui-Voda

Duration: 3 days

Starting point in c.Rezina

Finish at beach of Vadul-lui-Voda, Criuleni district

Nautical distance:

First day (afternoon): 17,0 km (10,6 miles)

Second day: 50,7 km (31,4 miles)

Third day: 37,1 km (23 miles)

Total: 104,8 km (65 miles)

 

Required skills: swimming

 

Required personal gear: sun protective wear with long sleeves plus hat, sun glasses, sun protection cream, second pair of pants for kayaking, swimming wear.

Optional personal gear (otherwise to be rented): sleeping bag (blanket), foam mat, personal eating dish and spoon, drinking cup, bottle for drinking water (during paddling).

 

All personal items to be separated in few packs, each packed additionally in 2 plastic bags for humidity protection.

 

Food and drink normally arranged in a centralized way from the tour budget - to be discussed before the tour.

Cooking on fire at camp sites in the evening and morning. During the day - snacks, fruits and drink.

 

Participants will take part in unloading/loading kayaks from the trailer, as well as bringing them to the water and back to the trailer.

Consumption of alcoholic beverages, including beer, is forbidden during whole duration of the tour

 

Typical itinerary:

 

Day 1

9:00 - Departure from Chisinau for Vadul-lui-Voda (see second map below for details)

10:00-11:00 Loading gear on trailer

11:00-13:30 Transportation to starting point in c.Rezina

13:30-14:30 Downloading gear and bringing to water, distributing people and loads, changing clothing for kayaking

14:30-15:00 Lunch in bag

15:00 - On water - start kayaking

18:00 - Landing on shore near village Tipova to set first night camp

18:00 - 19:00 Setting camp

20:00 - Dinner at fire

22:00 - Lights off / Cushioning

 

Day 2

6:00 - Rising up and washing

6:30-7:30 - Collecting the camp

7:30-8:00 - Breakfast at fire

8:00-8:30 - Last items loading and preparing to start kayaking

8:30 - On water - start kayaking

During the day - stops on shores for stretching, swimming, snacks, etc.

19:00 - Landing on shore at village Molovata Noua to set the night camp

19:00-20:00 Setting camp

20:30 - Dinner at fire

22:00 - Lights off / Cushioning

 

Day 3

6:30 - Rising up and washing

7:00-8:00 - Collecting the camp

8:00-8:30 - Breakfast at fire

8:30-9:00 - Last items loading and preparing to start kayaking

9:00 - On water - start kayaking

11:00 - Landing on shore near the Dubosari dam

11:00-12:30 Moving gear on land around the dam

During the day - stops on shores for stretching, swimming, snacks, etc.

12:30-14:00 - Kayaking down to the Island

14:00 - Landing on Island below Criuleni

14:00-15:00 - Lunch and rest on the Island

15:00-17:30 - Kayaking down to Vadul-lui-Voda

17:30 - Landing on shore at the beach of Vadul-lui-Voda

17:30-18:15 - collecting gear, moving it and loading into the storage

18:15-19:00 - Transportation of participants to Chisinau

 

Distance from Chisinau (start/finish point): 145/30 km (through Vadul-lui-Voda)
