Hiking around curious natural phenomenon called One Hundred Knolls. Actually, there are more than a hundred knolls, close to 3,500, over a surface of approximately 1,000 hectares. Some scientists believe that One Hundred Knolls is the only place in Europe with this many underwater reefs of the Ancient Sea that covered most of current territory of Moldova about 20 million years ago.

Our route is also designed to include some other ancient sea formations in the region: such as the Toltres which are former coral reefs.

Hiking distance: 12 km

Typical duration: 11.5 hours = 6 hours hiking + 1 hour lunch and sightseeing + 4.5 hours round-trip transport from Chisinau

Distance from Chisinau - about 200 km North-West.

Participants need to have hiking shoes and comfortable hiking wind-protective clothing, small backpack. Food and drink (min. 1,5 liters) - on your own.
